Product Details

Borrowed Time wraps a steel watch around a crushed lager can finished in blue and gold. Nobody actually owns the time on the dial. The title says so plainly.

About the design

Rich cobalt foil crumples into deep folds, thin gold pinstripes running around the can and breaking where the metal gives way. The watch sits square in the middle, a black and blue bezel over a black dial, the steel bracelet catching a hard edge of light on either side. The portrait format and near navy ground pull everything toward the center.

Shipping is free to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Switzerland and Norway. Cyprus and Malta are the two exceptions. We ship everywhere else as well, at a rate calculated by destination at checkout.

Nothing is held in stock, so each piece is printed and stretched after you order it. That takes 3 to 6 business days, followed by 3 to 5 business days in transit to the US, Canada, the UK and the EU, or 4 to 7 elsewhere. Most orders arrive within 10 days.

Each canvas is gallery wrapped over its frame, and the hanging hardware is fitted to the back before it ships. There is no framing or assembly to do. A floating frame is available if you would prefer one.

The canvas is organic cotton, and the inks are archival and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions. A piece can hang in a bedroom or a child's room without concern.

Dust it with a dry cloth when it needs it, and keep water and cleaning products away from the surface. Direct sunlight fades any print over the years, so a wall out of hard sun is best. If the canvas ever loosens, the corner wedges can be tapped to draw it tight again.
