Product Details

Master Your Mind Slab puts the oldest picture of self control back on the wall: you are not the horses, you are the one holding the reins. The two forces pulling hardest are named, so the reminder lands before you finish reading it.

About the design

A cracked slab of white marble carries a deep carved relief. In the center a figure in a heavy toga stands square and calm, a rein in each hand. To his left a horse rears away under the word FEAR, to his right another pulls the opposite way under the word EGO, manes flying and hooves off the ground. The title runs across the top in classical Roman capitals. Everything sits against a deep black field, so the marble reads bright and three dimensional. It arrives as one wide gallery wrapped canvas, ready to hang, with a floating frame available as an upgrade.

Where it works

The long shape was made for the wall behind a desk, above a credenza or over a reading chair, which puts it at home in a study, a home office or a library. Black and white keeps it quiet next to books and wood, and the subject suits anyone who trades on judgment: founders, traders, lawyers and coaches.

Part of the Stoicism wall art collection

Master Your Mind Slab is part of our Stoic wall art collection. The image goes back to Plato and runs straight through Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius: the mind is a driver, and the work is holding the line. See it beside the motivational wall art and office wall art collections.

Frequently Asked Questions

Email support@seembols.com - we typically respond within a few hours.

You have 30 days from delivery to send a piece back. The full purchase amount is refunded once it reaches us.

Shipping is free to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Switzerland and Norway. Cyprus and Malta are the two exceptions. We ship everywhere else as well, at a rate calculated by destination at checkout.

Nothing is held in stock, so each piece is printed and stretched after you order it. That takes 3 to 6 business days, followed by 3 to 5 business days in transit to the US, Canada, the UK and the EU, or 4 to 7 elsewhere. Most orders arrive within 10 days.

Each canvas is gallery wrapped over its frame, and the hanging hardware is fitted to the back before it ships. There is no framing or assembly to do. A floating frame is available if you would prefer one.

The canvas is organic cotton, and the inks are archival and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions. A piece can hang in a bedroom or a child's room without concern.

Dust it with a dry cloth when it needs it, and keep water and cleaning products away from the surface. Direct sunlight fades any print over the years, so a wall out of hard sun is best. If the canvas ever loosens, the corner wedges can be tapped to draw it tight again.
